Farm News - 2010 Clip
What is a farm but a mute gospel? The chaff and the wheat, weeds and plants, blight, rain, insects, sun, -- it is a sacred emblem from the first furrow of spring to the last stack which the snow of winter overtakes in the fields." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

Shearing Day!
This year Alpaca Biosecure Alpaca Shearers, a group of young men from Ohio will be shearing our alpacas for us. They shear nearly 6,000 alpacas every year! We'll have almost 70 alpacas to add to their list. Friends and family will gather to help out on this yearly event. They will help vacuum (yes, vacuum!) the alpacas, trim toenails, and collect fleece. It's one heck of a tiring day, but we've got hundreds of pounds of beautiful fleece when we're done. The alpacas are a bit happier and more comfortable too!
Please check back!
We are still waiting to be scheduled for our shearing date. Once we get all of the alpacas sheared, we'll share pictures, pounds and exactly what we're going to be doing with all the fleece with you.
Please look again sometime in May.
For now, think spring and stay warm!
